The TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) case for iPad 2 and iPad 3  is a nice compromise between the flexibility of the soft silicone skin, and the stronger form factor of the harder crystal and polycarbonate cases. The TPU material is highly resistant to scratches and fingermarks. It is pliable, yet resistant to tearing, making it good-looking and long-lasting alternative to other materials.

While the case has cutouts for the connectors and camera lens, the controls are covered, preventing dust and other material from entering the tablet, yet still allowing the controls to be easily manipulated through special button molds in the case. Although the case covers the 3G antenna area, it will not interfere with 3G reception.

The case has a blue finish with a subdued checkerboard pattern.
